Pink & Teal Card Swap

FINALLY!!!...i have some time to post...big sigh...been so busy i'm not sure if i was coming or going...going crazy i guess...some days i didn't know the day of the week or the date...i think i lost track of an entire month...i know we have all been there right?

well on to the cards...this swap: Pink & Teal over on SCS was one i really connected with...the color combo represents the ribbon colors for breast (pink) and ovarian/gynecological (teal) cancers...which are cancers that have effected those nearest and dearest to me...

the first card is done with a favorite retired SU set...tickled pink...my out-laws live in Florida and send us all kinds of flamingo things...so fun..and the sentiment inside was just right..

Tickled Pink
Paper: Early Espresso..Taken with Teal..Whisper White..DP
Ink: Jet Black..SU markers..pretty in pink
Stamps: Tickled Pink

Inside

for the next card i used a digi stamp..ribbon bear...used GIMP (a pic editing program) to color in the ribbon and to "piece" the DP onto the bear...if you look close you can see it matches the DP behind the image..

Ribbon Bear
Paper: Pretty in Pink..Whisper White..DP
Ink: Printer
Stamp: Ribbon Bear Digi

My oldest daughter..Jonni.. also joined this swap...she used the ribbon bunny digi stamp...she is new to coloring with SU markers...so give her some leeway..i think her addition of a teal gem bellybutton was cute and fun..

Love the image on the first one - and that DP - I actually have some of that paper. Now I need to find it!
The second one is awesome with the photo editing you did - and precious image.
And last but not least....love this one and the coloring is great! I have a terrible time using the markers for coloring. LOVE that belly button too.
    Precious cards.

  9. Great cards! Love how you matched the paper on the bear-you computer person you! Tell your DD that the teal bellybutton makes the card and her coloring is better than mine!
