Brown Chicken..Brown Cow.."boom chicka wow wow"

i love puns and word play...so driving down the road one morning this spoof of..(hmm.."adult video" shall we say) theme music struck me as a title for a swap...so off i went to SCS..(after arriving safely at home..no texting/web browsing/posting while driving)...i posted this swap idea...several wonderful crafty gals signed up...and my daughters and i all made recipe cards using chicken or beef as the main ingredient....so here are our cards...

Rain in The Forest

having discovered Forest Ranger's swaps on SCS i join each one...this group of gals called "forest friends" chat away daily...some hourly...it's a wonderful group..

this time around the theme was Rain in The Forest...just right for a swap due in the spring...cards had to relate to rain or the results of rain...i took my usual 2 spots...

rainbows...i think rain is nice...but rainbows are better...so i did a rainbow card...found some clipart online...printed and colored it with copic markers...and i don't do that great a job cutting stuff out...but i think i did pretty good here...

Count your Rainbows
Paper: bermuda bay..cool caibbean..dp
Ink: printer..bermuda bay..copic markers
Stamp: rainbow clipart
Accessories: glitter ribbon..dimentionals
the sentiment is one i really like...some days it seems easier to focus on the storm and not the blessings of "rainbows" in our lives...kids see things much simpler and can be wiser for it...

another result of rain i really enjoy are flowers...so pretty and sweet...i rarely dress up cards with more than paper flowers...but i've had these silk flowers in my stash for ages and this was the perfect card to use them on...

Shades of Purple Flower
Paper: rich razzleberry..early espresso..naturals ivory..dp
Ink: printer
Accessories: shades of purple silk flowers..small purple brad
the sentiment is from a poem i found online (printed in early espresso)...and it "spoke" to me...a very fancy way of saying "stop and smell the roses"...which i really need to do...just soak up the beauty of nature and feel God in my surroundings...

i hope you all take some time to do this too...be safe/be well...
